Onironauta

Production Company: Dreamfloor, Comune di Rimini
Video Installation: Alessia Travaglini
Sound Design: Riccardo Cardelli
Year: 2013

Video installation in-situ in the modern wing of the City Museum, in collaboration with Dreamfloor: il club onirico (the oneiric club), as part of Rimini, the longest New Year in the world.

An oneironaut is a person who practices lucid dreaming, meaning they are aware of dreaming while still inside the dream and can sometimes influence its course.
This installation is inspired by dream travelers and the dancefloor. The audience is invited to immerse themselves in a kind of waking dream, where oversized eyes and light effects created by the video, combined with music, transport them into a timeless and suspended state, evoking the sensations experienced while dancing.
